Volunteer Charter

1. General principles

The Yinfeng Life Extension Plan is a future-oriented and challenging cutting-edge life science research project initiated and implemented by Shandong Yinfeng Institute of Life Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the "Institute of Life Sciences"). The Yinfeng Life Extension Plan mainly includes tissue and organ cryopreservation and resuscitation research projects and human body cryopreservation and resuscitation research projects.
Given that this plan is a very challenging cutting-edge life science research project, it will take a while for the public to understand it, and this research and experiment will require a large amount of financial investment. In order to gather social forces to promote the continuous and standardized implementation of the life extension plan, the plan openly recruits volunteers from the society.

2. Volunteer recruitment

2.1 Definition of Volunteer
Natural persons with full capacity for civil conduct who voluntarily fill out the "Volunteer Application Form for the Yinfeng Life Extension Plan" and donate their bodies to participate in tissue and organ cryopreservation and resuscitation research or human body cryopreservation and resuscitation research (natural persons who do not have full civil conduct capacity are Their guardian or entrusted executor) can submit an application, and after review and approval by the "Academy of Biological Sciences", they can become a volunteer for the Yinfeng Life Extension Plan. In the fourth quarter of each year, the "Academy of Biological Sciences" announces the scientific research plan for the next year on its official website and WeChat official account.
2.2 Conditions for becoming a volunteer
2.2.1 Conditions for volunteers to participate in tissue and organ cryopreservation and resuscitation research
①Legal and ethical conditions
• Comply with the "Yinfeng Life Extension Program Volunteer Charter".
• Comply with Chinese laws and regulations, recognize and support Yinfeng life science research projects, and have a rational understanding and medical dedication to life science research.
• After the intended person agrees to clinical death, the body will be donated to the "Academy of Biological Sciences" to participate in the research project.
• The interested party agrees to apply for body donation registration in accordance with the relevant procedures of the Red Cross Society of China and the requirements of the "Shandong Province Body Donation Regulations (2003 Edition)", and close relatives unanimously agree and are willing to cooperate to complete the body donation process.
• The intended person will not be involved in any domestic criminal cases (disputes) or political events in the country or region where he is located.
②Medical conditions
• The age of the intended person should be ≤80 years old (special circumstances must be agreed by the expert committee of the "Academy of Biological Sciences").
• The intended person does not suffer from Class A or B infectious diseases stipulated in the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases" and internationally recognized highly infectious diseases.
• If the intended person has other physical conditions that are not included in the above standards, clinical experts from the "Academy of Biological Sciences" will conduct a feasibility assessment of tissue and organ procurement surgery.
2.2.2 Conditions for volunteers participating in human cryopreservation and resuscitation research
In addition to meeting the legal and ethical conditions for participating in tissue and organ cryopreservation and recovery research, the following conditions must also be met:
①Medical conditions
• The age of the intended person should be ≤80 years old (special circumstances must be agreed by the expert committee of the "Academy of Biological Sciences").
• Can provide the most recent detailed medical records or health examination reports of the interested party within 2 years.
• The intended person does not suffer from Class A or B infectious diseases stipulated in the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases" and internationally recognized highly infectious diseases.
• There are no metal or synthetic implants in the subject's body that may affect this research project, such as skull patches, sternum or spinal internal fixation implants, and pacemakers.
• If the intended person has the same type of organ implanted in his body, the organ implantation survival period should be ≥ 3 years.
• If the intended person has other physical conditions that are not included in the above standards, the feasibility assessment will be conducted by the clinical expert team of the "Academy of Biological Sciences".
②Transshipment conditions
• The intended person must be transferred to a partner hospital of the "Academy of Life Sciences" before death. Volunteers and their families voluntarily bear any accidents and uncontrollable risks that may occur during the transfer.
• If the intended recipient cannot be transferred to a partner hospital of the "Academy of Life Sciences" before death, and after comprehensive consideration of the impact of force majeure such as epidemic prevention and control, policy controls, etc., volunteers or family members can coordinate with the local hospital to provide operating rooms or wards required for clinical response implementation , and the local civil affairs department and the Red Cross agree to handle inter-provincial donation procedures and allow off-site transshipment.
2.3 Process of becoming a volunteer
Interested parties or clients must visit the "Academy of Biological Sciences" offline, voluntarily fill in the "Yinfeng Life Extension Program Volunteer Application Form", and be evaluated and approved by the "Academy of Biological Sciences", and sign relevant documents related to the research projects corresponding to the Life Extension Program. After submitting the documents, you will become a volunteer for the Yinfeng Life Extension Program.
2.4 Volunteers’ rights and interests
. Receive customized souvenirs from the Life Extension Plan.
. In view of the arrangement of scientific research plans, limitations in scientific research funds, and the uncertainty of volunteer body donation, only individual volunteers who meet the scientific research plans can participate in human cryopreservation and resuscitation research projects, and other volunteers can only Participate in tissue and organ cryopreservation and recovery research projects. For volunteers who are not included in the scientific research plan but have a strong desire to participate in human cryopreservation and resuscitation research projects, appropriate arrangements will be made based on their voluntary donation of scientific research funds and the implementation of the scientific research plan.

3. Numbering rules

3.1 The "Academy of Biological Sciences" is responsible for assigning numbers to volunteers.
3.2 The volunteer number consists of YF + 4-digit date (year and month) + 3-digit number (for example, the number of the first volunteer who joined in August 2022 is YF2208001).
3.3 The volunteer number is the volunteer’s unique internal code and an important ID for internal identification, file management and future information management.
3.4 After the volunteer qualification is cancelled, his/her number will be retained permanently.

4. File management
4.1 "The "Academy of Biological Sciences" is responsible for the management of volunteer files.
4.2 When volunteers officially join, a personal paper file will be established for them. The file materials include but are not limited to application materials, evaluation materials, and research project corresponding documents.
4.3 At the end of each month, the newly created files of the month will be transferred to the General Department of the "Academy of Biological Sciences", and the existing files will be updated, supplemented and organized.
4.4 No one is allowed to take volunteer archive materials to public places or disclose their contents to unrelated persons without authorization.
4.5 After the volunteer qualification is cancelled, his or her files should be kept for future reference for a period of 10 years.

5. Cancellation of qualifications
5.1 Volunteers can actively apply to cancel their volunteer qualifications.
5.2 The "Academy of Biological Sciences" should verify the identity information of volunteers every year. If they cannot be contacted for three consecutive years, their qualifications will be cancelled.
5.3 If a volunteer is sentenced in accordance with the law by the country/region where he or she is located due to serious illegal or criminal acts, or dies for any reason, his or her qualifications will be cancelled.
5.4 If a volunteer seriously damages, slanders, or obstructs the Yinfeng Life Extension Plan, seriously damages the reputation of the Yinfeng Life Extension Plan, or causes significant economic losses or social impact, his or her qualifications will be revoked after verification by the "Academy of Biological Sciences". In particularly serious cases, the volunteer will be disqualified. Solve it through legal means.
5.5 After the volunteer qualification is cancelled, the rights and interests originally enjoyed will be automatically lost.

6. Information security

6.1 In line with the principle of respecting and protecting the personal privacy rights of all volunteers, and in accordance with the requirements of laws and regulations, appropriate security protection measures are taken to protect personal information in a safe and controllable manner.
6.2 Personal information will not be publicly disclosed without volunteers’ explicit consent or active choice.

7. Supplementary Provisions
7.1 The Academy of Biological Sciences is responsible for the interpretation and revision of this Article.
7.2 This Article of Association will come into effect on August 25, 2022 and will be valid for three years.
7.3 If this Article is revised, it will be announced on the official website of Yinfeng Life Extension Plan 3 working days in advance. The new version shall prevail.
