Recently, the Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province issued a public notice on the first batch of provincial-level new research and development institutions to be filed in 2020. Shandong Yinfeng Life Science Research Institute (our foundation's research unit, hereinafter referred to as Yinfeng Institute of Life Sciences) has been approved and selected as one of the first batch of provincial-level new research and development institutions in Shandong Province.
This recognition is the first recognition of a new type of research and development institution in the province. After multiple stages such as unit application, preliminary review at the prefecture and city level, expert verification, on-site inspection, and conference research, a total of 134 research institutes were selected. Yinfeng Institute of Biological Sciences is one of the 17 selected research institutes in Jinan City. After investigation, Yinfeng Institute of Biotechnology focuses on the research and development of biomedical technology, with distinct characteristics and clear directions in the field of life sciences such as gene information database, stem cell technology, cell therapy research and clinical transformation, low-temperature preservation of human genetic and clinical resources such as human cells, tissues and organs, and organ function maintenance. It has played a positive supporting role in the pilot process of new and old kinetic energy conversion in Jinan City.
It is reported that in 2019, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology issued the "Interim Measures for the Management of New R&D Institutions in Shandong Province" (Lukezi [2019] No. 7), which clearly proposed to comprehensively strengthen the construction of new R&D institutions, further improve the province's scientific and technological innovation system, and provide support for the transformation of new and old kinetic energy in the province. And it is pointed out that new research and development institutions mainly refer to independent legal entities with diversified investment entities, diversified establishment methods, market-oriented operating mechanisms, and the ability to achieve sustainable development. They are collaborative innovation between industry, academia, and research, with the core function of conducting industrial technology research and development. They also have functions such as applied basic research, technology transfer and transformation, incubation and cultivation of technology enterprises, and high-end talent aggregation and cultivation.
Established in 2015, Yinfeng Institute of Biotechnology is the only comprehensive scientific research unit in Shandong Province that covers the entire industry chain research system of cell and tissue resource storage, technology research, and product transformation. We currently have multiple secondary research units, including Hainan Yinfeng Precision Medicine Research Institute, Regenerative Medicine Research Institute, Low Temperature Medicine Research Institute, Gene Technology Research Institute, Immunotherapy Research Institute, Beijing R&D Center, Jinan R&D Center, and US R&D Center.
Under the new strategic background of "adhering to the core position of innovation in China's modernization construction and making technological self-reliance and self-improvement a strategic support for national development", Yinfeng Institute of Biotechnology will closely follow the needs of economic and social development and the trend of technological development, and carry out scientific and technological research and development activities around forward-looking technologies, key common technologies, local pillar industries, and core technologies of strategic emerging industries in the top ten industries in the province, Mastering core technologies, enhancing innovation capabilities, empowering the development of the medical and health industry, continuously leading the continuous progress of the life science and biotechnology industry, and providing stronger and greater technological support for implementing innovation driven development and the transformation of old and new driving forces.

Global First Ovarian Tissue Dual Activation Technology Debuts at 2025 Jinan Achievements Conference
Currently, the ovarian tissue dual activation technology has been successfully applied in clinical practice at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Shenzhen (Longgang) Hospital, having treated over 400 patients with a treatment success rate of 70%. Over the next three years, Shandong Yinfeng Life Science Research Institute plans to use Jinan as a center to gradually expand the transformation and application of this technological achievement nationwide.
