The appearance and development of human tissue and organ transplantation technology is the great progress of modern biomedical development in the 20th century, saving countless lives and health, bringing hope to countless patients and family members. French organ transplantation experimental surgeon Alexis Carrel, British transplant immunobiologist Peter Medawar and American clinical organ transplant pioneer Joe Murray were awarded Nobel Prizes in Physiology and Medicine in 1912, 1960 and 1990 respectively. After more than half a century of clinical practice, the transplantation of human tissues and organs has become an important method of clinical treatment, especially the only means for the treatment of irreversible end-stage organ failure.
